Drowning in a Sea of Thoughts

by Alexandra Allen

My mind is an ocean.

And I know not how to swim.

I drown, sink further,

My thoughts ever grim.

The waves are inviting,

A sinister call.

They beckon and sneer,

Mocking my inevitable fall.

My mind bleeds like ink,

Black, bubbling, and bleak,

And I am left to flail helplessly,

My limbs growing weak.

My mind is an ocean,

And I know not how to swim.

I suffocate beneath the water,

My light growing dim.
